Isamar Tello

Executive Co-Chair

Isamar Tello is the Investigations Lead with the Division of Labor Standards and Statistics working to investigate and adjudicate claims for earned wages not paid. She graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a Master of Public Administration and dual B.A degrees in International Marketing and Media and Spanish Language and Literature from Texas A&M University. Isamar is passionate about creating and supporting collaborations between government and nonprofit organizations in order to best serve the community. Isamar is also dedicated in helping the Spanish speaking community. On her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, attending culture events around Denver, seeing live shows, cooking/baking, and traveling to new countries. 

Ustina Tawadros

Executive Co-Chair

Ustina Tawadros has considerable political campaign experience at the congressional and state level. Working on campaigns in some capacity since 2010, she has gained valuable experience in fundraising and development working on elections in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Colorado.

Ustina joined Invest in Kids in 2017; her work in development most satisfies her love for people and building relationships. She is dedicated to advancing matters relating to social justice and serves as the Equity Team Co-chair at Invest in Kids. She loves art, writing, styling and fashion. You can find her exploring cultural venues in the area, where her favorite place to go is the Clyfford Still Museum. 

Ashley Guesman

Vice Chair

Ashley Guesman is the Gift Processing and Donor Relations Coordinator at Denver Botanic Gardens. In May 2019, Ashley earned a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Organizations from University of Colorado Denver. Ashley has a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY, where she studied art history, French, and writing. Ashley enjoys yoga, collecting vintage clothing and housewares, eating sushi, and spending time with her cats, Eloise and Alaistair.

Treasurer

Shelby Clymer is a Manager at CliftonLarsonAllen working in their Outsourcing group.  She works primarily with nonprofits providing outsourced accounting & finance services and consulting.  Shelby graduated from Creighton University with a B.A. in Accounting and Finance.  She is passionate about helping nonprofit organizations by taking off the weight of their financial responsibilities.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling with family and friends and exploring the local music scene.

Heidi Vielhaber

Secretary

Heidi Vielhaber is the Manager of Volunteer Programs at Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. With an academic background in nonprofit and higher education administration and having spent two years serving with AmeriCorps, Heidi is extremely passionate about engaging folks in their community through service. Outside of work, she can be found fostering pugs, trying out a new restaurant, or exploring Colorado.  

Mary Marshall

Board Member at Large

Mary Marshall is currently working as the Marketing & Communications Manager, and the Solar Forward Program Manager at Solar Energy International (SEI), a 501(c)(3) non-profit technical solar installation training facility. With over 70,000 alumni worldwide, SEI is an industry-leader in solar workforce development. As the Solar Forward Program Manager, Mary manages SEI's technical consulting program aimed at empowering rural communities with tools and guidance in order to kickstart solar markets and increase access to renewable energy and resiliency across Colorado.

As a former AmeriCorps VISTA at SEI, Mary worked on community outreach efforts in Delta County aimed at diversifying the local economy through solar, including spearheading Solarize Delta County Farms, a campaign which brought resources on renewable energy and energy efficiency to agricultural producers and rural businesses in Delta County. Mary has past experience in television news working at shows such as NBC’s Dateline, Nightly News with Lester Holt, MSNBC Live with Thomas Roberts and working with Tom Brokaw in his research unit. In her free time you can find her running the trails or playing the fiddle!

Board Member at Large

Lauren Ellison is the Development Associate and Special Events Lead at Brent's Place. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Criminal Sociology and International Relations and a certificate in Human Rights. Lauren has lived in Denver for the last four years and enjoys spending her free time hiking, playing with her dog, reading, or spending time with friends. Lauren joins the YNPN Denver Board of Directors with a background in fundraising and special events and is a Co-Chair for the Elevate Denver Program. 

Paige Cipperly

Board Member at Large

Paige Cipperly is a student at the University of Colorado, Denver campus working towards her Master of Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management. This semester she will be completing her capstone with the Humane Society of Boulder Valley where she has volunteered for many years. Currently, she is a Budget Analyst for CDOT and overseeing a Local Agency Program for city & county grants. In the upcoming year, she plans to begin a nonprofit shelter for miniature barn animals in the northern part of the state. She is passionate about public finance, women's rights, and animal welfare. In her spare time, Paige can be found swing dancing at the Mercury Cafe or volunteering with Denver Community Bucket.

Akila Copeland

Board Member at Large

Akila Copeland is a nonprofit consultant from Aurora, CO. She began her career at Colorado Nonprofit Association managing its professional development programming. During her time there, she developed a passion for operations and program strategy and is now working to enhance the work of other nonprofits. Akila received her Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Macalester College, St. Paul, MN. In her free time, you can find Akila on a mountain, in a park, on a climbing wall or catching up on reading.
