YNPN Denver's Board of Directors is an active group of volunteers providing guidance for programs and shaping the development of the organization. Each Board member brings a passion for YNPN Denver's mission and a personal connection to the nonprofit sector. Because YNPN Denver is an all-volunteer organization, the Board, in conjunction with Board-driven committees and volunteers, is responsible for creating and implementing all of the organization's programs and services.

Lydia McCoy, President
Organization: Colorado Children's Immunization Coalition
Lydia serves as Executive Director of the Colorado Children's Immunization Coalition. Her previous experience includes Capital Campaign Coordinator for The Gathering Place, board development for KID smART and program development for WWOZ public radio station in New Orleans, and volunteer management at CASA Advocates for Children and case management at Big Brothers Big Sisters in Colorado. Lydia has a BA in Political Science from Tulane University and a Master of Nonprofit Management from Regis University. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, has served on the Strategic Planning Committee for Regis University’s MNM program and the Governance Task Force for the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative, and is a fellow with Social Venture Partners Denver.

Sarah Fischler, Vice-President
Organization: Community Resource Center
As the Interim Co-Director at the Community Resource Center, Sarah helps nonprofit organizations with strategic planning, organizational assessment, program development, fundraising, and board development. Previously, Sarah was the Director of Grantmaking and Mission Initiatives for the Denver Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure where she oversaw the distribution of nearly $10 million in funding and led the development of a nationally recognized grantmaking program. Sarah served as the Drafting Committee Chair for the effort to revise the Colorado Common Grant Application and is Co-Chair of the Colorado Common Grant Report Form Revision. Sarah graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor of arts in history, a bachelor of science in business administration, and recently completed her master’s degree in public administration. Sarah's interests include backpacking, hiking, travel, and landscape photography.

Tangia Al-awaji, Secretary
Organization: Goodwill Industries
Tangia currently serves as Assistance Manager of Career Development Services overseeing a program that helps low-income families transition from public assistance to self-sufficiency. Tangia graduated from Metro State College with a degree in Political Science and is currently working on a Masters of Nonprofit Management at Regis University. She first became involved in the nonprofit field as a college student working in a program to fight housing descrimination and as a volunteer with the Latina Initiative. Since college, she has continued to be an active volunteer and supporter of several Denver based nonprofits. Tangia is a graduate of the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Cirlce of Latina Leadership Program. She has also servered as Secretary for the YNPN Board of Directors. Tangia is passionate about the Colorado outdoors and international travel, having spent significant time in Egypt, Saudia Arabia, and Mexico.

Lauren Croucher, Treasurer
Organization: Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance
Lauren Croucher is the Human Trafficking Project Manager at the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance. She has worked in the nonprofit field for the last four years in several different areas, including program management, development, and capacity building. In addition to the YNPN Board, she serves as a volunteer for the American Red Cross and for the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program. Lauren graduated with a Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Hanover College in Hanover, IN and spent a year in Istanbul, Turkey studying water chemistry and Middle Eastern history. She is currently working on her Masters in Public Health at the Colorado School of Public Health. She spends her free time snowboarding, gardening and walking her dogs.

Denise Delgado, Board Member at-Large
Organization: Katherine Pease and Associates
After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Environmental Studies, Pubic Policy, Denise began her nonprofit career working for the Trust for Great Outdoors Colorado in its open space department. She later served as Executive Director of Kids Voting Colorado and moved on to join the staff at Rose Community Foundation (RCF) in Denver, Colorado. Over the course of her six year tenure at RCF, she supported the grantmaking activities and strategies of the Health and Aging Program Areas, and later served as the Foundation’s Grants Manager until her departure in late 2007, when she joined La Clinica Tepeyac to serve as its Director of Development. Prior to joining Katherine Pease and Associates, she served on the boards of numerous organizations including Youth Biz, the Community Resource Center, and the City and County of Denver’s Mayoral Commission for Strategic Partnerships. Denise is a past president of the Denver Young Nonprofit Professionals Network and has participated in the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Circle of Latina Leadership Program, the Metro Denver Chamber Foundation’s Impact Denver Program and University of Colorado, School of Public Affair’s Denver Community Leadership Forum.

Jeremy Duhon, Board Member at-Large, Chair - Professional Development Committee
Organization: Denver Investment Advisors
Jeremy currently works as a Vice President, Research Analyst (International Equities) for Denver Investment Advisors. Previously, he was a Senior Fellow with El Pomar Foundation in Colorado Springs where he helped direct the El Pomar Youth in Community Service (EPYCS) Program and the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) Program. During that time, he also served as the Executive Manager of the Center for International Exchange - U.S., a nonprofit which promotes U.S.-Japan relations. He is a past President of YNPN Denver and served on the board of National YNPN. He is a Founding Director of the Pueblo Opportunity Fund, a donor-advised fund committed to improving the lives of current and future citizens of his hometown of Pueblo, CO. He graduated with a B.A. in Neuroscience from Pomona College. |

Adeeb Khan, Board Member at-Large, Board Member of National YNPN
Organization: Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross
Adeeb Khan is currently serving as the Director of Health, Safety and Community Services at the American Red Cross, Mile High Chapter. The programs he manages help to bring life saving First Aid and CPR training to the state of Colorado as well as transportation to the elderly, ill and disabled. He previously served as the Grants and Individual Donor Specialist for the Mile High Chapter. Adeeb also serves on the Denver Regional Mobility and Access Council as well as the Red Cross Health and Safety Advisory Board for the state of Colorado. Adeeb worked with the Presidents Leadership Class at the University of Colorado at Boulder to establish their first Red Cross on Campus Club. Adeeb is a graduate of the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California, and also represents Denver YNPN through serving on the National YNPN Board.

Jessica Khan, Board Member at-Large, Chair - Member Relations Committee
Organization: Project PAVE
Jessica Khan is the Development Director for Project PAVE, an organization that works to empower youth to end the cycle of relationship violence. She is skilled in program management, fundraising, member recruitment, training and technical assistance, coalition building, event planning and marketing. Jessica has more than ten years experience in the nonprofit sector advocating for sexual and domestic violence prevention. She has served as the Membership Services Director for the Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and as a victim advocate/case manager in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she lived for six years before moving to Denver. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism. She has worked in broadcast media and production, including a Missouri NBC-affiliate and the London bureau of ABC News. Her passions are photography and international travel; she has spent significant time in eighteen different countries including Morocco, Thailand, Indonesia, Spain and Mexico.

Natasha Lamoreux, Board Member at-Large
Organization: Colorado Nonprofit Association
Natasha is a fifth generation Coloradan from Fort Collins, and is entering her fourth year at the Association where she currently serves as Manager of Education & Regional Membership Outreach. Natasha oversees the professional development offerings and draws on her significant membership experience to recruit and serve nonprofit members outside the Metro area. Natasha earned undergraduate degrees in Spanish and Nonprofit Organization Management from MSCD, and has applied her skills and education to campus organizing, volunteer service, and her professional work. Currently, Natasha sits on the advisory board for the Center for Nonprofit Studies at Metro State and is the founder and President of the Nonprofit Professionals Alumni Chapter of MSCD. Natasha’s interests include foreign language, travel, and international affairs, and she is fluent in conversational Spanish and Hungarian. |

Alyssa Lasseter, Board Member at-Large
Organization: Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
Alyssa Lasseter currently serves as the Director of the Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Previously Alyssa was at Mile High United Way for seven years with positions including temporary fundraiser, administrative assistant, community specialist, community investment manager and senior program manager - government relations. Responsibilities in these positions ranged from fundraising to volunteer management to public policy and many others in between. While at Mile High United Way she was able to work with a variety of health and human services organizations. Her personal passion for children and youth has helped to guide growth in career opportunities. As a volunteer Alyssa has mentored youth, organized groups of friends for many events, and served as treasurer of a small grassroots non-profit working with groups throughout El Salvador.

Jason Manke, Board Member at-Large
Organization: Community Shares of Colorado
Jason Manke brings a wealth of membership direction, virtual communications, and e-philanthropy experience to the YNPN Denver Board. He believes that giving should be fun and accessible and that microgiving is the way of the future. To that end Jason is a team member for a new and exciting social enterprise called Email Emblems, which in 2007 won the Tomorrow’s Wealth Prize in Europe’s largest business plan competition, the Oxford University 21st Century Challenge. In addition to his nonprofit professional pursuits he has climbed around the world and owns a nature photography company. You’ll frequently find him climbing and touring Colorado with his 4x5 wooden field camera when he isn’t in the office. He is a graduate of Colorado State University with a B.S. in Natural Resources and believes today's young nonprofit professionals hold the key to the next great revolution of the sector. |

LaRae Scott-Jennings, Board Member at-Large, Chair - Outreach Committee
Organization: Denver Scholarship Foundation
LaRae Scott-Jennings currently works for the Denver Scholarship Foundation as a College and Financial Aid Advisor serving the community of Montbello High School. She is responsible for providing Denver Public School students with tools, knowledge and access to financial resources that will empower and inspire them to succeed in whatever post secondary path they choose to pursue. Prior to her work with DSF, LaRae served as a Youth Program Coordinator and Program Specialist for Girls Incorporated of Metro Denver, a 501 c 3 dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold. She has gained extensive experience developing, facilitating and evaluating educational enrichment programs. LaRae graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. LaRae is also a graduate of the 2008 Chamber Connect class, a leadership program developed by the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce for Denver’s next generation of leaders.

Norah Selig, Board Member at-Large
Organization: National Sports Center for the Disabled
Norah currently serves as the Development Coordinator for the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), where she is honing her grant writing and data management skills in support of the organization’s national therapeutic recreation programs. Prior to joining NSCD in 2008, she worked for The Adoption Exchange and Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. Norah was a member of the Anti-Defamation League Mountain States Region’s Glass Partners in Leadership program and is still involved with the ADL through their Young Leadership Committee. In addition, she has served on YNPN’s Learning Circles Committee since 2007. Norah graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management. An avid outdoor enthusiast, you might find Norah outside the office on the ski slopes or trails enjoying all of Colorado’s great outdoor opportunities.

Imelda Unibe, Board Member at-Large
Organization: Mile High United Way
Imelda currently serves as the Mentoring Community Liaison for the Youth Mentoring Collaborative based out of Mile High United Way. She is staff person leading the YMC’s efforts to sustain and improve the quality of mentoring opportunities for youth and increase the access for youth in need of these services. Prior to her work with the United Way, Imelda worked for a private school serving at risk youth in East Palo Alto, CA. Here, she coordinated volunteer activities, supervised parental involvement, and managed out of school time opportunities to supplement students’ classroom learning. In addition, she served on the Board of Directors and chaired the Strategic Planning Committee. During her tenure, the two groups paved the way for staff re-structuring and curriculum improvements, as well as, re-shaped school policies to provide incentives for teachers to pursue continuing education. Imelda is a currently member of the Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships Commission and mentors an inquisitive seventh grader at Morey Middle School. She holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University and a M.Ed. in School Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. |
