YNPN Denver is a vibrant, volunteer-driven membership organization that connects and develops young nonprofit leaders to leverage our collective strengths.  YNPN Denver's activities focus on attracting talented people to the sector, helping young nonprofit professionals connect with their peers, providing programs that help develop current and emerging nonprofit leaders, and advocating for the interests of young nonprofit professionals.

A group of young nonprofit professionals founded YNPN Denver in 2002 as an informal network for peer support and professional development.  Since that time, YNPN Denver's membership has grown to approximately 1,800 members.  YNPN Denver's initial programming started with networking events and a listserv for exchanging information and has since grown to include frequent networking events, formal professional development offerings, and other member-focused programming.  Although YNPN Denver has grown significantly since its inception, it is still entirely volunteer-driven and governed by a board that is representative of the organization's membership. 

YNPN Denver's long-term organizational goals include:

• Creating opportunities for young nonprofit professionals to connect with and learn from their peers.
• Providing or partnering to provide professional and leadership development opportunities that are tailored specifically to the needs of young nonprofit professionals to help individuals develop and to stregnthen the sector.
• Focusing attention on the collective needs of young nonprofit professionals and partnering with others to develop creative solutions to issues facing the nonprofit sector.
• Increasing value and benefits for members to help them build their networks and develop professionally

As a growing organization, YNPN Denver is focusing on increasing its capacity to deliver effective and high-quality programming to meet these goals and to achieve YNPN Denver's mission.
